Frequently Asked Questions
Organize your digital life in minutes, not months
General
Serenio is a digital legacy and account-cleanup service that helps you detect, organize, and decide what happens to all your online accounts, subscriptions, and services—both during your lifetime and after you pass. We give you peace of mind and spare your loved ones from paperwork.
Connect your email accounts and we'll scan for subscriptions and services. You then choose what happens to each account (close, transfer, notify beneficiaries, etc.). When needed, Serenio helps execute your wishes and provides clear instructions to your beneficiaries.
Serenio is for anyone who wants to simplify their digital life, reduce clutter from unused accounts, and ensure their loved ones aren't burdened with complicated paperwork when it matters most. Whether you're planning ahead or just want to clean up, Serenio is here to help.
Not at all. Serenio is designed to be simple and intuitive. You just connect your email, and we do the heavy lifting. No technical skills required—just a few clicks and you're set up.
We're launching first in Singapore, with plans to expand to other countries soon. Our goal is to support digital accounts and services globally, regardless of where they're based.
Yes! While we're launching in Singapore first, Serenio can help organize your digital accounts wherever you are. Many online services are global, so you can still benefit from our platform.
Account Detection & Automation
You can manually add any account we missed. Our detection is constantly improving, but we know it won't catch everything—especially offline services or niche subscriptions. That's why manual entry is always an option.
The more emails you connect, the more comprehensive your account list will be. But you can start with just one email and add more later. You're always in control of what you share.
Our detection is highly accurate for common services and subscriptions, but no system is perfect. We continuously improve our algorithms, and you can always review, edit, or add accounts manually to ensure completeness.
Absolutely. You can add any account or service manually at any time. This includes offline accounts, utilities, insurance, banking, and anything else you'd like to track or pass on instructions for.
Serenio provides your beneficiaries with clear instructions on how to handle each account based on your wishes. For some services, we can help automate closure requests; for others, we guide your beneficiaries through the necessary steps with each provider.
Yes! While we primarily detect online accounts automatically, you can manually add offline accounts like utilities, insurance, banking, and telecom services. This way, your beneficiaries have a complete picture of your accounts.
Beneficiaries & Legacy
Only if you choose to share them. You control exactly what each beneficiary can see and access. You can mark certain accounts as private or assign different accounts to different beneficiaries.
Yes. You have full control over what information is shared with your beneficiaries. You can mark accounts as private, visible only to you, or restrict access based on your preferences.
Absolutely. You can assign different beneficiaries to different accounts or groups of accounts. This gives you complete flexibility to tailor your legacy plan to your specific wishes.
Yes. For each account, you can specify whether you want it closed, transferred to a beneficiary, kept open, memorialized, or handled in another way. Serenio provides your beneficiaries with the instructions and contacts to make this happen.
Serenio requires official documentation (such as a death certificate) before any instructions are shared with beneficiaries. We take verification seriously to ensure your privacy and security while you're alive.
You can update your beneficiaries, account assignments, and instructions at any time. Your plan is flexible and adapts to your life changes—no paperwork or complicated processes required.
Privacy, Security & Data
Yes. Serenio is built with bank-level encryption and security protocols. We're PDPA compliant, and your data is always protected. We never access your accounts directly—we only help you organize them.
All your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices, regular audits, and secure infrastructure to keep your information safe. Your privacy is our top priority.
No. We never ask for or store your passwords. We only scan for patterns in emails to detect accounts and subscriptions. You remain the sole owner of your login credentials.
We only scan for structural patterns to detect accounts and subscriptions—things like receipts, confirmation emails, and billing notices. We don't read or store the content of your private conversations. Your personal communications remain private.
Yes. You can delete your Serenio account and all associated data at any time. Once deleted, your information is permanently removed from our systems in accordance with data protection regulations.
Never. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or any other purposes. Your data is yours alone, and we respect that completely.
No. Your beneficiaries only gain access to your instructions and account information after your passing has been verified with official documentation. While you're alive, your data remains completely private.
During My Lifetime
For now, Serenio focuses on helping you organise your accounts and subscriptions for your legacy. Cleaning up or closing accounts during your lifetime is something we may explore in the future, but it's not part of the first version.
Not yet. The current version of Serenio is dedicated to preparing your digital life so your loved ones know exactly what to do later. Assistance with closing unused subscriptions during your lifetime is a feature we may add later.
No — not in the initial release. Serenio provides a clear overview of your subscriptions so you can decide what should happen to them in the future. Automatic detection or reminders for forgotten subscriptions may come afterward.
Not at this stage. Automatic subscription cancellation requires complex integrations with providers. We may explore this after the core legacy experience is fully built and stable.
Not for the initial launch. Our priority is to help you organise and secure your digital legacy. Renewal notifications or lifetime subscription management may be added in later versions.
When It Matters Most
A designated beneficiary submits official documentation (like a death certificate) to verify the event. Once verified, Serenio provides your beneficiaries with access to the instructions you left for each account.
After verification, beneficiaries receive secure access to the accounts and instructions you've designated for them. They'll see exactly what you wanted them to do with each account—no guesswork, no confusion.
Serenio follows your instructions. For each account, you specify whether it should be closed, transferred, memorialized, or handled in another way. We then guide your beneficiaries through executing those wishes with clear steps and contacts.
Your instructions serve as a guide, but ultimate control depends on each service provider's policies and legal requirements. Serenio ensures your wishes are clearly communicated, but final decisions may involve your family, providers, and legal frameworks.
It depends on the number of accounts and each provider's process. Some accounts can be handled quickly, while others may take weeks. Serenio streamlines the process as much as possible and provides clear timelines for each step.
Pricing & Plans
Serenio will launch with a simple, all-inclusive plan. Pricing will be announced soon, and early users who join our waitlist will receive a discounted launch offer.
For the initial release, Serenio offers one plan with all core features included: Secure storage of accounts, subscriptions and essential information, ability to document your wishes and instructions, and tools to prepare your digital legacy for loved ones. As we release add-ons in the future, you'll be notified and able to activate them if you want.
There is no free trial planned for the launch. However, waitlist users will receive a special discounted early-access price, making it the best time to join.
Right now, Serenio has one simple plan, so there is nothing to upgrade or downgrade yet. As we introduce additional add-ons or tiers in the future, you'll be able to adjust your plan easily.
No. Your beneficiaries can access the information you've shared with them for free. Only the account owner (you) needs a paid Serenio subscription.
Support & Changes
Yes. You can add, edit, or remove accounts whenever you like. Your plan is flexible and adapts as your digital life changes.
You can update your beneficiaries in your account settings at any time. Changes take effect immediately, and you can assign different beneficiaries to different accounts as needed.
We provide your beneficiaries with alternative contact methods and detailed instructions for each provider. In some cases, phone calls, official forms, or legal documentation may be required, and we guide beneficiaries through those steps.
You can reach our support team through the contact form on our website or by emailing support@serenio.com. We're here to help with any questions or issues you may have.
Legal & Compliance
Serenio complies with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and other relevant regulations. We work within the legal frameworks of the jurisdictions we operate in to ensure your data and instructions are handled properly.
Yes. Serenio is not a substitute for a will. It focuses on your digital accounts and subscriptions, not your legal estate or physical assets. We recommend working with a lawyer for comprehensive estate planning.
We provide your beneficiaries with alternative contact methods and detailed instructions for each provider. In some cases, phone calls, official forms, or legal documentation may be required, and we guide beneficiaries through those steps.
Serenio can provide documentation and records to lawyers or government bodies if needed, but we don't replace their services. We're here to make the digital side of legacy planning easier and clearer for everyone involved.
